Studio 8 / #2

ONe thing I definitely need to do more is be experimental with my stock. It really bring to life a portfolio as well as having great impact for promotional material. This set of creative postcards use low cost printing very effectively. It appears to be a very expensive job, but really there is only one ink used. Sustainability to the max, especially if the papers where hand made or made from fare trade resources. Needless to say the use of typography here is bold, eye catching while not being so in-your-face that you do not see the small pt size information.

I always like it when designers mess with the conventions of the paragraph as we know it from standard publications. The slant of the columns is also in keeping with the imagery used.

I want to use photography from other designers, most likely from the internet and Behance. The search that photographers go on to find their perfect photographs can lead to amazing, stunning and inspirational images, these can quite easily, with careful consideration and play, create a very respectable resolution when combined with type character and layout.
